A book filled with drawings made by people that stayed at home
In the first lockdown in 2020, being stuck alone in my room, I had the wish to connect with others. So this idea came up to create a book filled with illustrations, together with other people that share the same situation. In order to achieve this I created a website where people could upload their drawings. The link got shared via social media and 57 people took part. They uploaded over 100 drawings from the time they spent at home during lockdown.
The result is a book that portrays a time of isolation with the attempt to get back a sense of community.
Since this book was filled with drawings from many different people, it felt wrong to publish it with my own name. I came up with the solution to found a little publishing-platform called „Safe Papers“. The book came together with a postcard and a tote-bag.
